Donations & Refund Policy

Vegan Wiki is a free, independent reference. We do not sell products or subscriptions for access — everything on the Site is free to use. If you choose to support us, you can make a voluntary donation. This policy explains how donations work and when a refund is available. It applies in addition to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, which take precedence wherever they offer stronger protection.

1. How donations are processed

Donations are handled by a third-party payment provider. Your card or account details are processed by that provider and never reach our servers, and you receive a receipt from them for your donation. The provider's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment itself.

2. Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable

A donation is a voluntary gift, not a purchase of goods or services, and unlocks no paid content — the Site is free either way. For that reason donations are, as a rule, non-refundable once made.

3. Refunds we will always honor

Regardless of section 2, we will refund you in full in these cases:

• Duplicate or accidental charge — you were charged more than once, or by mistake.
• Unauthorized transaction — your card or account was used without your permission. Please notify us as soon as you notice.
• Changed your mind — if you regret a one-time donation, email us within 14 days and we will refund it, no questions asked.

Recurring (monthly) donations can be cancelled at any time to stop future charges; already-completed months are covered by the same 14-day goodwill window above.

4. How to request a refund or cancel

Email [email protected] with the email you used and, if you have it, the receipt or order ID. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to resolve within 7. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

5. Online Dispute Resolution (EU)

EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We prefer to resolve any issue directly by email first.
